Request For MVP Development Quote
Getting your software MVP in Ruby on Rails is a straigtforward step-by-step process.
How does it work?
- Fill in the MVP Dev RFQ form [Our prices range from $5000 to $25000 USD per MVP]
-
We will get back to you in one business day to set up a 30-minutes discovery call to go over the details and other stuff such as:
- any unique business details for your MVP;
- any tech unknown.
- Based on the discovery call, we will send a quote to you for the complete MVP with a tentative plan and schedule
- We get open to further discussions/negotiations re tech/cost and then sign the NDA and Final Contract
- When an advance payment of 25% is received, the scheduled start date is finalized
- You will be able to track the project's progress on our Basecamp (a client-access will be provided) and also play around with the live-demo (as good as it gets) on a Digitalocean VPS (or Hetzner) instance
- Once the 25% of the agreed MVP scope is finished, an invoice for further 25% is raised
- Once the 50% of the agreed MVP scope is finished, an invoice for further 25% is raised
- Once the 75% of the agreed MVP scope is finished, an invoice for further 25% is raised
- Once all the agreed MVP scope is finished, the ownership of the codebase is transfered
What's Included?
Our MVPs come with all standard features you might expect. But at the same time many common features are left out on purpose as well. After many years of experience leaving out certain features has proven to help you stay focussed. Not just in the short run (while you get product market fit), but also in the longer run. Example: adding a dark theme or fragment caches to your app means tweaking and changing the UI for every new feature you add. Twice the work!
Included!
- Core features for your MVP
- Basic (custom) authentication (email + password)
- Payments/billing via Stripe/Paypal Checkout and their Customer Portal (if required)
- UI using TailwindCSS
- Basic Super Admin Area configured for your MVP
- Deploy Scripts and How-to guide
What's NOT Included!
- Secondary authentication features (confirmation, password reset, 2fa, etc. are not needed for your MVP)
- Custom Stripe billing set up (Stripe's lowcode solution or Paypal Buttons are really good)
- Features not related to your core feature set (as agreed upon beforehand)
- Unrelated MVP resources, eg. marketing site, blog, social media profiles, email templates
- Hosting of the app and associated services
What is Our Tech Stack?
We use Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Hotwire (minimal JS), SQLite, ActiveAdmin, TailwindCSS, and any integrations your MVP needs. We are always open to recommendations, but they must fit within our eight MVP building rules.
